Governing Board
Each Unitarian Universalist congregation governs itself. Members elect their own leaders, manage their finances, and choose delegates to the General Assembly, the annual Unitarian Universalist meeting. This system is called congregational polity.
The UUFES Governing Board oversees the Fellowship’s property, business affairs, and overall administration. It may appoint committees as needed. The minister serves as a non-voting, ex officio member of the Board and all committees.
The Board has seven members. Each serves a two-year term and remains in office until a successor is elected and qualified. The President may serve no more than two consecutive full terms.
